Standing up to strong competition from neighbouring Chile, this New World producer has made a name for itself primarily through vibrant, full and fruity Malbecs.
Nowadays, wine is being made all over the country, from Salta in the north right down to the wilds of Patagonia in the south - but first and foremost amongst them all is mighty Mendoza. So it was here Joe and I headed, just in time for the harvest, to get a good grounding in what the province’s bountiful bodegas have to offer.
